CLASSROOM BUCKETS
Parent groups report

Parent report from Queen Mary School, Vancouver:

.“It's really a simple project. Our PAC spent a fair bit of time deliberating about what would go into the buckets and what would not. You can only cram so much stuff in them and there were all kinds of good ideas like water, helmets etc. but we tried to keep it from getting too overwhelming. In the end, we used the list now on the FSSS pages.
We got all our stuff from our local, independently owned hardware store by submitting a list of what we needed, and having them order it all in bulk for us).

We made 30 buckets. Here is a copy of our costs. It worked out to about $110 per bucket.

The buckets are now are now in every classroom, as well as the library, music room etc.

"The earthquake kits are easily accessible and fully equipped. In the event of an emergency, teachers feel well prepared and safe with the kit in their classrooms."
